About Us
We are committed to a future where mental health education is accessible, informative, and impactful for as many communities as possible.
Idara Education
Idara Education was founded in December 2024, beginning with the launch of our first mental health education class offering, Youth Mental Health First Aid. Driven by lived experiences and community insights, Idara Education is committed to addressing the mental health crisis through education and support.
At Idara Education, we go beyond merely establishing a community presence without meaningfully engaging the individuals who make up the community. Being community-centered means that communities actively shape and inform our efforts. We work directly with community members to co-create solutions, ensuring our programs reflect their lived experiences, values, and goals. This approach allows us to build stronger partnerships and offer classes that are not only relevant but also educational and sustainable.
Our Guiding Principles
Below are our core principles that guide our work and shape our mission. These values reflect the foundation of everything we do as we strive to make a positive impact in our communities.

Learn.
Intentionally facilitate learning about mental health within communities, with the goal of equipping individuals and families with tools to improve mental well-being and support one another.

Advocate.
Boldly and unapologetically equip communities to advocate for themselves and others who have been ignored, rejected, or isolated due to mental health stigma.

Act.
When we see something, we don’t just say something—we take action. With the knowledge they have, communities are empowered to create meaningful change both locally and beyond.
